Baby Your Skin This Winter
Winter can do a number on your skin and, now that you’re expecting, you’ll need to take some extra steps to maintain that gorgeous pregnancy glow. Here are some tips to help keep dry skin at bay when temperatures dip:
Baby Your Skin This Winter: Staying Soft Baby Your Skin This Winter: Oil A No-Go?
We find the very best way to keep your skin soft and sassy is by using a body oil. We recommend using your Mama Mio Tummy Rub Stretch Mark Oil as a body oil. It’s simple: When you step out of the shower or bath, just pat your skin a bit dry (you don't want to be dripping wet, but you need your skin to bedamp) Next, rub a generous splash between your hands and massage all over your body; it absorbs almost immediately. Pay special attention to any wobbly or dimply bits as it will help firm up skin tone. That’s it!

Remember, with a good body oil every ingredient is there to hydrate and elasticize your skin. If you do this daily, we’re certain you will see an improvement in your skin’s
tone and moisture level.
Although we are HUGE advocates of Body Oil, some people just cannot get their heads around using something slippery. In that case, we recommend mixing an oil with your favorite body lotion (half and half will be the right proportion). Our favorite blend is the
Tummy Rub Stretch Mark Oil and the Super Rich Body Cream. However you can get a little crazy and blend any good body oil with your best body lotion. Apply this combination to dry skin whenever you feel the need. You’ll get the benefits of the oil without the texture you’re not crazy about.

Another great tip: Another lovely thing to do is to keep a damp hand towel on your radiator. This helps put moisture back in the air. If you are feeling especially indulgent, you can add a few drops of essential oil (such as lemon for alertness, or lavender for calm) to the damp towel and the fresh fragrance will gradually permeate the air and help winter feel and smell a little bit nicer!
