How Is My Due Date Calculated?
To find out your Estimated Due Date (EDD), you will need to know one of two things, either the first day of your Last Menstrual Period (LMP) or the date of conception.
Using the first day of your LMP, you would count 280 days from that date to arrive at your EDD. This 280 days is based upon 266 days of gestation (the length of a typical pregnancy) plus the 14 days from the start of your LMP. Using the date of conception, simply add 266 days to arrive at your EDD.
